3XT-M
Wireless Growing Media Conditions Sensor
A three-zone substrate sensor built for potted crops, slabs and open field. Insert it into the medium and moisture, temperature and light data start flowing — no gateway, no cables, no configuration on site.

Three Zones, One Sensor
The 3XT-M divides its probe length into three evenly spaced zones and reports a Volumetric Water Content (VWC) reading per zone — top, middle and bottom — in real time. Pair those three readings and the sensor also tells you how water moves through the substrate: capillary action and suction force become visible, so you can read the medium, not just the surface.
VWC · Top
How wet the upper substrate is — the zone that dries first on a sunny day and signals when top irrigation may be needed.
VWC · Middle
The buffer zone between top and bottom. Tracks the speed at which water moves downward and the medium releases it.
VWC · Bottom
Reservoir drainage. A saturated bottom means over-irrigation; a dry bottom means the root zone is missing water.
Substrate Temperature
−20 to +65 °C ±2 %, measured right where the roots are. Critical for predicting growth rate and disease pressure.
Ambient Light
0 to 150 000 lux ±5 %. Daily light integral becomes traceable per sensor position, not just per greenhouse.
Self-Learning Calibration
VWC is calculated from preset calibration values refined by a self-learning algorithm that folds in live min/max readings.
Where It Fits
Pot Sizes 17+
Designed for larger containers where three distinct moisture zones give a real picture of the root ball — from dry rim to wet core.
Substrate Slabs
Slabs dry from the edges inward. Three-zone VWC shows exactly where the slab is losing water and where it is still holding.
Open Field
Insert directly into the soil for orchards, soft fruit and field vegetables. Same probe, same data model.
Greenhouses & Tunnels
Hybrid radio — Sigfox 0G or LoRaWAN (Helium, Netmore). No gateways on site, no IT involvement.

Built To Stay In The Ground
Plug & Play
No gateways to operate, no replaceable parts, no fragile cables. Push the sensor in and data starts appearing on the dashboard.
Self-Learning Calibration
Patent-pending substrate-fingerprinted calibration tunes each sensor to its actual substrate — readings stay accurate as conditions change.
15-Year Battery
A sealed, fixed battery designed to outlast the crop cycle. No service trips, no battery swaps, no surprises at year three.
Hybrid Radio
Sigfox 0G plus LoRaWAN (Helium, Netmore and others). The sensor picks the available network and keeps transmitting — even in remote plots.
Sensor Anatomy

Detail 01
Compact sealed housing — 66 × 42 × 22 mm — with a detachable Omni Whip antenna. Designed to sit on top of the substrate while the probe is fully inserted.

Detail 02
Probe showing three measurement layers: top, middle and bottom VWC readings — the data that tells you how water actually moves through the substrate.

Detail 03
Complete sensor assembly: sealed housing with QR-coded model label for self-learning calibration and twin 111 mm probes running the full depth of the substrate.
